Official: India in talks on $1 bln loan to Russia on Far East devt

MOSCOW, May 27 (PRIME) -- Russia and India are discussing a U.S. $1 billion loan to Russia to develop  the Far East, Manish Prabhat, head of a department of the Indian Foreign Ministry, said on Wednesday.

"We have noticed special attention paid to the Russian Far East. This is a region of strategic interest and potential investment for India. We are discussing the terms of provision of a credit line amounting to $1 billion to Russia," the official said.
